The first edition of “Digital Talks” took place today, a programme of keynote speeches hosted at BE DIGITAL by BIEMH, delving into an analysis on how to approach successful digital transformation for the industry. A process that has not been easy for companies, as it involves taking many positive strategic decisions such as deploying technologies and applying models, as well as negative ones.
Microsoft, Seat, Siemens, Oracle, Accenture, Euskaltel, Tecnalia, SAP… Over 30 professionals in total from highly innovative companies and entities have debated today on the concepts that are impacting the “Connected Industry”, making it faster, more flexible, more accurate, and more competitive. Cyber security, connectivity, Big Data analysis and transformation success stories have taken up a large part of these discussions. What to include, what to rule out, and how to take the appropriate steps are questions that have underpinned the speakers’ presentations, who have taken visitors through a complete tour of all aspects relating to this new industrial revolution.
The “Digital Talks” were officially opened by presentations given by Xabier Basañez, the General Director of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre; Xabier Ortueta, the General Director of AFM; Jose Maria Bilbao, Deputy Director of Business Development and Innovation of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia; Estibaliz Hernáez, Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Competitiveness of the Basque Government, and Tomás Iriondo, General Director of Gaia, the Industry Cluster of Knowledge and Applied Technology.
